RL: Please tell us about yourself?

RH: I’m an enthusiast photographer doing historical techniques. I don’t like to do anything beyond the end of the 19th Century.

RL: Please tell us about your work?

RH: Initially the purpose of the acrylic box is to transport wet-plate collodion glass negatives that have been coated in glycerine back from the field to somewhere they can be stained and washed properly. The coating on the glass is very fragile and must remain damp. I now use the acrylic box more for washing silver gelatine glass plates. I can stack eight of them and pump water through the box with an aquarium pump.

RL: What do you like about laser cutting and the material/s you used?

RH: The materials were really precisely cut. I could glue them together and they were watertight first time.

RL: What made you choose RazorLAB?

RH: RazorLAB was available, responded to queries and price was reasonable.

RL: Where can we see your work?

RH: Visit my blog or Instagram
