RL: Please tell us about yourself?

AZ: Hello! My name is Anna and I am a graphic design student from London. I have just completed my foundation year at CSM and plan on studying BA Graphic Communication Design at CSM next year.

Recently my work has mainly focused on social issues and finding ways to communicate these through design.

RL: Please tell us about your design?

AZ: My most recent project focused on our environmental impact and how we must have a greater sense of empathy to encourage responsible action.

This laser cut piece is a symbol of reflection, encouraging us to look back at the world we are creating for future generations.

RL: What do you like about laser cutting and the material/s you used?

AZ: Laser cutting is such a fast and effective way to bring 2D and digital designs to life. I was able to cut and engrave into a mirrored acrylic that allowed me to achieve the reflective finish my design needed.

Being able to place and photograph my physical laser cut piece in context elevated my outcome and allowed my concept to thrive.

RL: What made you choose RazorLAB?

AZ: Working with RazorLAB was super easy and smooth. Their quick replies to live chats and price estimates were incredibly helpful when restricted to a deadline and needing that transparency as a student. I would highly recommend!

RL: Where can we see your work?

AZ: You can find my design work on Instagram.
